  1. Credo inaspettate per il nero le uscite 5 Bg5 e 6 Bc4, con le quali il bianco attiva i pezzi, invece di muovere solo i pedoni, come in molte Portoghesi.
    Bello 9 ... Bxc2
    Doppio attacco 11 Q b3, anche se la cattura di b7 è considerata "greedy" da Jeremy Silman.

    Comunque si dimostra sempre un'apertura violenta se la risposta è 4 f3
